MCA is pleased to announce the recipient of the 1st annual David G.H. Waters Hymn Sing Memorial Award is Kathleen Murphy.
Kathleen is completing Post-Baccalaureate studies in Vocal Performance at the University of Manitoba with intentions of following up with a Masters in Vocal Performance. Kathleen is making her mark as an outstanding soloist and also comes strongly recommended for her exceptional chorister and leadership qualities. She was runner up to the Tudor Bowl (Winnipeg Music Festival 2019) and has held significant roles as a singer/soloist with the University of Manitoba choirs as well as with Winnipeg’s foremost choral groups. She is presently the alto soloist and section lead with Young United Church Choir.
