PIANIST WANTED: Selkirk-based Back Pew Boys Choir is in need of a proficient and reliable pianist. We are men from the surrounding communities, with varying levels of musical education, who get together to sing different genres of music in a fun environment. Practices run from September to May, and are Thursday evenings from 6:45 – 9 pm, at Selkirk United Church. The choir participates in Selkirk’s Holiday Alley in November, Advent service at St. Peter’s, a benefit concert (with Octavia Women’s Choir) in December, and our well-attended Spring concert is early May. Winnipeg Sonora Voices (WSV) is an award-winning choral program offered to children and young people ages 5 to adult aged. WSV provides an exceptional choral experience that values community, self-empowerment and personal growth. 

The Nova season runs mid-October to mid-March. WSV Nova is a choir for girls and boys aged 5 - 6 years. They rehearse on Monday evenings 5:30 - 6:15 pm at Pacific Junction School, 715 Cathcart.

The Ladies is a small women’s choir, rehearsing Wednesday evenings at St. Andrews Church on Kingsway and Oak. Our repertoire is an eclectic mixture of classical, sacred, folk, contemporary, world, musical theatre and pop. Auditions are for placement and fit with the choir. The ability to read music is an asset but not required. We are especially looking for one or two new altos and second sopranos, but we welcome all singers.
