FIND A CHOIR

Local women's ensemble; ages 18+. We singing a variety of repertoire. We meet twice a month (Monday evenings) at the Steinbach Arts Centre. Looking for singers who understand blend and intonation. We create space for women who are carving out space to uplift their spirits, soothe the soul, calm the nerves and forget their worries. Two concerts (January + June).

The Bison Men's Chorus is a community-based chorus made up of singers from Winnipeg and the surrounding area many of them students, faculty, staff and alumni of the University of Manitoba . The repertoire consists of traditional male chorus selections, spirituals, jazz arrangements, folk and art songs, sacred music, show pieces and commissioned works.

BU Chorale Ensembles welcome community members. There are two choirs namely the chamber choir and a larger choir which includes mainly first-year students. Please contact Andrée Dagenais for further information.

Esprit de Choeur is an auditioned women's choir dedicated to exploring and performing choral works written for women's voices in contemporary and classical repertoire. Artistic director, Valdine Anderson, seeks to create musical experiences through collaborations with amateur and professional artists as well as commissions and premieres of new works by Canadian composers. The choir rehearses Wednesday evenings.

Horizon is a vibrant, high-calibre choir composed of talented adults aged 26 and over. Led by Johanna Hildebrand, Horizon offers innovative, energetic choral performances that engage a contemporary audience, while being a home for singers looking to hone their technique and performance. Horizon presents an annual concert series that showcases a diverse repertoire including Canadian and contemporary music.

An auditioned adult choir in Westman. The name Konektis is derived from the language of Esperanto and means connected. The choir aims to connect solidly to the music, to the audiences, and to each other.

The LRSD Treble Choir is one of two divisional choirs in the Louis Riel School Division. This auditioned choir consists of singers in grades 5-8 from all over the division and rehearses weekly to prepare for festivals and divisional choral concerts. <br><br>RehearsalsTuesday evenings at Dakota Collegiate.

Our purpose is to sing for personal, choral, and global harmony. We seek to make a difference for ourselves and for our community. We assemble for a new season and revised repertoire each January and September and perform benefit concerts in Dec. and May. Currently 70 plus in numbers, an SATB choir of mixed skill levels (untrained and trained singers) ages 20+ to 80 yrs. Repertoirean eclectic mix of folk, soft rock and current choral inspirational pieces. Membership is open.

The choir's rich repertoire effectively combines the wide range of Ukrainian choral music -- folk, ritualistic, liturgical and classical. Although we sing primarily in Ukrainian, we transliterate all music from Cyrillic script to Latin script (English) and instruction is done almost exclusively in English. Our conductor regularly composes and arranges works to highlight our strengths. Coffee breaks run late :-)

PTV Chamber Ensemble is a choir for soprano/alto voices aged 18 - 25 years. They rehearse on Monday evenings 6:30 - 8:00pm. PTV offers an exciting choral program that values community, self-empowerment and personal growth.

PTV Minnesingers is a choir for girls and boys aged 7 - 8 years. They rehearse on Thursday evenings 5:15 - 6:15 pm. Prairie Voices is an award-winning choir of 18-25 year olds. Led by Philip Lapatha, PV places an emphasis on performing the music of Canadian and Manitoban composers, while also performing innovative contemporary choral music from all over the world. PV is known for their passionate style of performance, combining exceptional vocals with engaging presentation to provide the ultimate choral experience.

Are you part of the queer community, questioning or an ally? Between the ages of 13 and 18? Looking for connection and community? Interested in music and singing? Look no further! RHP is launching Winnipeg's first LGBTQ2* youth choir and we invite YOU to join us!

RHP invites all LGBTQ2*, questioning, and allied youth, ages 13-18, to come together through music and singing. There is no audition, and prior music or singing experience is not needed!

Weekly rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm, at Immanuel United Church (755 Golspie Street) in East Kildonan, in Winnipeg.

This choir had its start in 1970. For more than 50 years we have been performing in thw community; more recently in retirement resodences and personal care homes. Anyone ages 55 and over is welcome to join us. An SATB choir, we sing sacred/classical music, folk tunes, show tunes etc. The choir practices Monday mornings at McClure Pl. (533 Greenwood Pl.) from 10:00 AM til noon. Street parking available. Wheelchair accessible bldg.

We are a fun non - auditioned choir. Our repertoire includes show tunes and popular songs from recent and bygone times.
We perform for senior centers, assisted living centers and personal care nursing homes. Our concerts are mid November - mid December for the holiday season and we conclude our year with sing outs mid April - mid May.
Rehearsals are Friday mornings 10:30am - noon at FORT GARRY UNITED CHURCH, beginning mid - September and concluding each year mid-May.

The Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir (the Phil), Western Canada’s longest-established adult choral group, has a well-earned reputation for excellence. A choral trademark for the City of Winnipeg, the Phil’s repertoire covers a broad range of music including oratorios, masses, songs, and choral symphonies with a focus on major choral works with orchestral accompaniment.

Unique, a fun-loving a cappella ladies' quintet, currently hails from Winnipeg but loves any excuse to sing in harmony and travel together. We’d love to perform at your charity event, birthday or anniversary party, retirement home event, Christmas party, wedding or festival.

The Westworth United Church Choir has rich choral history. All members of the church community are welcome! We are accompanied by the incomparable Dorcas Windsor on organ and piano.

The Winnipeg Children's Choir welcomes girls and boys aged 8-18. The Choir strives to provide ordinary children with an extraordinary music making experience. Music is drawn from a large repertoire of music focusing on classical sacred music and multicultural/multilingual pieces. Singers also have opportunities for developing their individual singing abilities.

The Nightingale Chorus is a choir of Winnipeg and Southern Manitoba working, retired and student nurses. All nurses are welcome to join us sing at health care and seniors residences and special events.

An auditioned choir consisting of singers aged 12-22, led by husband and wife team Garth and Lisa Rempel. The Senior Chorus strives to provide a unique opportunity for young singers to experience eclectic music through a combination of choral excellence, culture and movement. Most importantly, we support a positive experience for singers to develop their self concept and self esteem.

Ladies, if you're looking for a night out of singing, friendship and fun, join the Assiniboine Chorus Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at Churchill Park United Church, 525 Beresford Ave. You'll have the opportunity to hear 4-part, a cappella harmony, and you'll be invited to join in sharing our love of singing.

Led by director Rob Monson, Bluestem is a choir for high-school aged singers to continue in Prairie Voices Inc’s strong choral tradition of energy, movement and excellence. Bluestem presents a concert season in conjunction with PVI family choirs Prairie Voices and Horizon.

The Brandon Conservatory Chorale Youth Choir is made up of singers from kindergarten to grade twelve. We meet weekly at Brandon University to share our love of singing!

Incantatem is an SATB a cappella choir whose members range in age from 18-65+. We rehearse Monday nights 7 - 9 PM at River East Church 755 Mcleod Ave. We sing primarily our own arrangements of geeky fandom music. In the past we have sung arrangements of pieces from Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, video games, and many more. Our annual show is in November.

Any member needs to have a basic ability to read music, and Monday night availability.

The Manitoba Chinese Choir was founded in the autumn of 2019. Our vision is to create a platform to bring friends with a passion in singing together. At the same time, we are looking forward to enrich local cultural lives and promote understanding of the Chinese culture. We have attracted a group who has a certain vocal music foundation.

NUOVOCE Chamber Choir is one of Manitoba’s newest choral ensembles. Founded in the Spring of 2019 by husband and wife duo, Justin Odwak and Sarah Sommer, NUOVOCE aims to deliver creative & contemporary choral programming of a high calibre to local audiences while providing opportunities for young singers to continue their careers as choristers after high school.
NUOVOCE is proud to be celebrating its fifth anniversary during the 2023-2024 season.

Prairie Singers is an auditioned community choir that welcomes adults who love to sing. We begin rehearsals in early January and perform in early March. Good sight-reading skills are desirable. Rainbow Harmony Project is Winnipeg's non-auditioned choir for the LGBTQ2* community and allies and is dedicated to building relationships and expressing and celebrating their diverse identities and experiences through the power of song.

We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7:00-9:30pm at Immanuel United Church (755 Golspie Street) in East Kildonan.

A mixed (male & female) chorus that sings a cappella 4-part harmony music. The Chorus is hired to perform at community and private events. We perform two major shows annually – April/May and Dec. We sing to support local charities.Attend our rehearsal in the basement of St. Andrew’s United Church, 255 Oak St. at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evenings.

Selkirk Community Choir is an open and welcoming organization striving to build community and create engaging musical experiences for singers in the Interlake. All experience levels are welcome!

We are an unauditioned SATB community choir committed to singing oratorios two to three times a year. Rehearsals at First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Avenue at 8-9 p.m. Thursdays, beginning September 14, 2023. Members of ages 15 to 95 welcome.

Strathclair Theatre Chorus is a mixed choir of all ages and musical backgrounds, who have performed a wide variety of choral music for more than 25 years. Following Friday/Sunday rehearsals in late September through November, the choir travels to communities in Western Manitoba, performing eight concerts in November through January.

A 24 voice professional choir. The Winnipeg Singers hosts a four concert subscription series, does runout concerts, and tours internationally. The choir has been recognized as “best overall choir” at international festivals in Florence,Italy and Barcelona, Spain, and has represented Canada at the Sorkd Choral Symposium in Japan.

This is an upper voices choir open to anyone aged 18-35 who sings as a soprano or alto. Women, men, trans, and non-binary folks are all welcome.Creating a positive culture of community is essential to this choir, because good community means good music making.

An auditioned choir consisting of singers aged 8-14, led by Jorrel Camuyong and Melanie Spulnick. The Junior Chorus is designed to support and develop young singers in the community to prepare them to sing in more advance choral ensembles as they get older. Most importantly, we support a positive experience for singers to develop their self concept and self esteem.
