Please read carefully in full before making your request.
One of our most valuable member resources, MCA’s choral music lending library is nearly 5,000 titles and counting! A current MCA membership is required to borrow music from our library. (Not a member yet? Click here to register!) Peruse our library online or in-person at the MCA office, then place your online order.
If you chose to pick up your music, a separate email with directions to the MCA Office will be sent once your order is ready for pickup. Please wait to receive this email before coming to pick up your music. If you have chosen to have your order shipped within Manitoba, your order will be shipped to you within 5-7 business days. For out-of-province orders, shipping + borrowing fees will be calculated, and an invoice will be sent to the email address provided. All fees must be paid in full by cheque or e-transfer before the music can be shipped. Music must also be shipped back to MCA by the deadline indicated on your order form. Return shipping labels will be included for this purpose.
Before placing new borrowing requests, all previously borrowed music must be returned and/or all outstanding fees must be paid. These include any past shipping fees, late music fines, and missing score fees. Borrowings may be renewed for one additional term (half season) if the title has not been requested by another member.
Our music library is open to out-of-province borrowing requests, but a current membership in a provincial choral association is required, and a fee will be applied to any out-of-province requests.

Out-of-Province Borrowing Rates:

Scores 1-10 pages — $0.30 per score

Scores 11-20 pages — $0.60 per score

Scores 20+ pages — $1.00 per score

Shipping fee - Flat rate of $10 for shipments 5kg or under (includes return shipping label)
REPLACEMENT FEES
Missing scores: $5.00 per copy, or copies may be replaced at the borrower’s expense
DUE DATES
To keep our library titles accessible and available to all our members, we ask that music be returned as soon after your performance as possible.
Fall term final returns are due on/before January 31
Winter term final returns are due on/before June 30
Full season final returns are due on/before June 30
While there is no penalty for returning music past the deadline, members will not be able to place new requests until all past music has been returned and/or missing copies paid for.
NOTE: Scores should be marked in light pencil only. All markings should be erased before scores are returned.
NATIONAL LENDING PROGRAM
MCA members may borrow or rent music from other Provincial Choral Organization (PCO) libraries across Canada. Borrowers will be responsible for any and all fees associated with their out of province loans. Please contact each PCO directly to borrow titles from their libraries.
