First Presbyterian Church, 61 Picardy Place, Winnipeg, is seeking a talented church musician to serve as part-time Music Director, commencing September 1, 2024. Duties will include playing the organ and piano for worship services, and working with a small choral ensemble. Preference will be given to candidates who can fulfill the duties as stated; however, if circumstances warrant, the position may be split into Organist/Pianist and Choir Director. The Anglican Parish of St. Peter, located at 755 Elm Street in Winnipeg, is looking to fill the Director of Music Ministry role. The part-time position requires availability on Sunday mornings, one weeknight rehearsal evening, and special services as needed. This individual is also part of the parish’s Worship Planning Team which meets on a weekend day approximately 4 times per year. 

The responsibilities include:

· Plan worship music including hymns, psalms, and coordination of cantors, in consultation with the Incumbent (or designate).

· Lead regular weekly choir rehearsals.

· Ensure that musical accompaniment is provided for worship including Sundays and special additional services (ex. weddings, funerals, etc.); arrange alternate musicians as required.

· Collaborate in a timely manner with the Parish Administrative Assistant, including communication of necessary music information for service bulletins.

· Actively participate as a member of the Worship Planning Team.

· Oversee the care and maintenance of music instruments and materials.

· Submit an annual budget of all music related expenses for approval, and purchase music and music supplies within approved budget.

The successful candidate must complete relevant Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to employment, and comply with the Diocese of Rupert’s Land Respectful Workplace Policy, Child Protection Policy, and Sexual Misconduct Policy.

The Foundation for Choral Music in Manitoba seeks a Treasurer to serve as an Officer on their board of directors. The treasurer will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements, and will report to the board of directors at regular intervals about the financial health of the organization. The treasurer will ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for the charity. 

Qualifications: 

-CPA designation 

-Previous experience as board treasurer in not-for-profit preferred 

-Choral experience or passion for the arts preferred
