DAVID G. H. WATERS HYMN SING MEMORIAL AWARD

ABOUT

The CBC Hymn Sing Chorus was a professional choir which provided singing experience and financial means for many young singers in Manitoba to further their education and embark on a career in music.

This award recognizes the significant role that participation in school, community and church choirs play in the development of a singer’s love of music and the decision to further his or her studies in music with the goal of a professional career. The award pays tribute to David Waters, producer and director of Hymn Sing, who encouraged choristers in their musical development. It has been established by Deanna Waters and Hymn Sing Alumni who want to pass on to others the opportunities and encouragement they received.
