GATHER

GATHER is a FREE outdoor choral festival designed to bring the choral community together to connect and celebrate the joy of group singing. Come out to take in performances and workshops throughout the day and enjoy the food vendors, artisan/maker market, games, and creative spaces across the festival grounds!

ABOUT

MCA is excited to announce the return of our outdoor choral festival, GATHER, on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Lyric Theatre in Assiniboine Park (Winnipeg/Treaty One Territory).

This FREE day-long outdoor event will run from approximately 9:30am to 5:00pm and will showcase a variety of choirs and ensembles as part of Winnipeg 150: City of Song, an initiative designed to engage the public in group singing performances and activities in celebration of the city’s 150th anniversary.

Originally held in 2022, this second rendition of the festival will feature rotating choir performances and workshops throughout the day on the main stage, while attendees experience food vendors, an artisan/maker market, games, and creative spaces set up around the grounds (in collaboration with ArtsJunktion) to complete the celebratory atmosphere. Above all, GATHER is an opportunity for the choral community to come together to connect and to enjoy group singing!
