On May 26-27, MCA will host our first-ever choral symposium for current and aspiring choral directors, educators, singers, arts administrators, students, musicians, and other musical leaders.
BEYOND is a unique opportunity to gather to exchange ideas, connect with colleagues, challenge long-held ideas, and experience new ways to think about choir. MCA has invited choral arts specialists from Manitoba, Canada, and the USA to present on topics such as Indigenous protocols for choirs, embracing and encouraging cultural diversity in choir, decentralizing power structures, working with transgender voices, decolonizing the choir practice, challenging gender norms, accessibility for choirs, health and well-being, social justice, and more.
Approximately 100 choral professionals from around Manitoba and beyond are expected to attend the event as they EXPLORE, EXPERIENCE, and EXPAND their arts practice this May!

Our symposium program booklet will be published in colour in print and digital format and has the potential to be seen by up to 150+ choral students and leaders. Promote your business or organization to the choral community for as little as $35. Plus, MCA members receive 5% off ads.
